Pityriasis rosea skin condition

Pityriasis rosea is a very annoying, but rather unthreatening skin condition. The downside to presenting with the pityriasis rosea skin condition is that its typical physical manifestations are rather large and impossible to hide. Also, the pustules that appear as soon as the skin condition has completely developed are filled with liquid and they itch terribly.

Just like with any other skin illness, itching is prohibited in the case of the pityriasis rosea skin condition. Unfortunately, some patients do not respect this basic rule. The consequences are permanent and somewhat gruesome: large, deep and round scars remain after the disease is gone.

The upside to being diagnosed with this skin condition must be the fact that pityriasis rosea is a self - contained disease. What does that mean? Well, basically, if nothing goes wrong, the illness will run its course and it will disappear completely in about two to four weeks after the first pustules appear. There are two things that could happen to make such a skin condition worse then it actually is. Firstly, if the pustules appear on the face, immediate measure must be taken to avoid them to attack the eyes, the nose or the mouth. Secondly, if the sacks do not retreat even after four weeks, the sufferer should have them investigated to confirm the initial diagnosis.
