Pityriasis rosea scarsHere is something that not many people are aware of: pityriasis rosea scars should not exist. Basically, pityriasis rosea is a self - containing skin infection, caused by a viral pathogen. How does that relate to the theoretical lack of pityriasis rosea scars? Well, usually, viral infections leave little to no marks on the body of the sufferer. Also, it is well known that self - containing problems disappear just as easily as they have shown up. Therefore, there should be no marks left after pityriasis rosea pustules clear from the skin of the sufferer. What could cause the very obvious and much dreaded pityriasis rosea scars? The answer is pretty obvious: scratching. If the patient is somehow convinced to not scratch the very itchy pustules until they break, the scars should be pretty non - existent. However, if the sufferer manages to break the little liquid - filled sacks, there will be permanent marks marring his or her skin. Unfortunately, just like with scars caused by measles, these physical signs are hard to cover. Usually, powder foundation only makes the scars more evident, so burying them in make up is not exactly indicated. Also, once the signs have completely healed, there is nothing that anyone outside a plastic surgeon can do to alleviate their look. There is one good thing among all this bad: these scars are, usually, located in places where they are hard to see, like the back, the lower stomach or the inner thighs |
