How pityriasis rosea rash looks likeThe cause of pityriasis rosea is still unclear. But it is not a bacterial or fungal infection. Nor is it a skin allergy, or a disease of internal organs. Many dermatologists believe that pityriasis rosea is caused by viral infection. Because it is the same as influenza, it occurs in the spring and autumn, and occasionally patients have similar symptoms of colds. Doctors can not confirm this theory and pityriasis rosea does not seem to spread. Pityriasis rosea rash variates, each patient's lesion size, number, location being all different. Rashes appear benign in adolescents or young adults. This erythematous rash has moderate inflammation characteristics. Its most striking feature is the presence of a rounded or oval initiale lesion.
