       The most interesting thing about pityriasis rosea in young children is that it has exactly the same symptoms as pityriasis rosea in adults does. Why is that so interesting? Well, usually, disease in children does not have the same physical manifestations as in adults. The fact that, in the case of pityriasis rosea, those symptoms match can only mean one thing: pityriasis rosea is not exactly a dangerous condition for youngsters. Sure, it is a highly annoying skin problem, since it itches and it causes large blisters that can rupture easily.

        However, that does not make it perilous for the health of your kids. Now, there are some rules that the parent should firmly explain to his or her child, so as to avoid the evolution of pityriasis rosea into some other skin condition that is not as easy to treat:

  • While being filled with pustules, do not allow your child to use any sort of soap or detergent directly on those liquid - filled bags. It will only serve to irritate them further and cause even more discomfort.
  • Apply a topical steroids cream as many times as it is necessary to alleviate your child's symptoms. Also, some sort of cooling agent should be kept in handy: anything from menthol cream to a simple cloth soaked in cold water can work wonders
